Where is Taghazout?Taghazout was made famous during the 60's and 70's as a hippie haven until it was turned into a top class surfing destination. Taghazout lies 18km North of Agadir and maintains it's quaint village atomosphere with fishermen going out to ctach fish for local restaurents and market. It also boasts some of the best surfing spots such as Anchor point and Hash point. It also boasts some of the best beaches which makes Taghazout an ideal location to enjoy and chill out in true Morrocan fashion.
How to get there? Agadir International Airport is the closest airport to Taghazout. Ryan Air operate Direct flights from London during season. Royal Air Maroc, Easy Jet and Atlas Blue fly from London to Marrakech where you can get connecting flight to Agadir. Air Arabia also operate from London but fly to Casablanca. Iberia and Air France also fly to Agadir. Taghazout Surf Camp and self catering accommodation is approximatly forty minutes from Agadir airport from where we will arrange your transfers.
If you fly to Marrakech Airport, you may take a Grand Taxi to Agadir. This will give you the opportunity to see part on Morroco during your 4 to 5 hour journey to Taghazout. The taxi costs approximatly 1000dh one way and can carry upto 5 people. Should you wish to take this option, please let us know and we will arrange a taxi on your behalf.
If you are feeling really advantures, then take a 25 minute taxi ride from Marrakech Airport to the bus station. At the bus stop, take either a CTM or Supratours bus to Agadir. The bus will cost approximatly £8 single and will take 4 to 5 hours to Agadir. Please let us know if you are going to take this option. We will arrange your transfers from Agadir bus stop.
What about a Passport, Visa and Vaccinations? Passports must be valid for 6 months from date of entry into Morroco. British and European passport holders do not require a Visa for stays upto 90 days and will get a visa on entry. All other passport holders should consult their nearest Moroccan Embassy for advice on visa requirements. Vaccinations are not required to enter Morocco.
Do I need Insurance? We recommend all guests arrange full travel and medical insurance before travelling to Morocco. Taghazout Surf Camp do not take responsibilty for loss or theft or damage to personnel property nor does it take responsibility to personnel injury during their stay.
